Spiritual Life Room

Need encouragement, prayer, to talk in a small group about your life, ask questions, or find a mentor?  Want to talk about exploring a call or anything else?  Someone is here to pray and talk with you.  Just need a place to pray by yourself?  You can do that too.

Open to All

There may or may not be people in there to pray with you, but there are some self-directed opportunities to pray and reflect.

Healthcare Opens Doors to the Gospel

Physical healing was an integral part of Jesus’ work on earth.  Not only did healing the sick reveal His heart of love and compassion, it validated that He was indeed the Messiah.  Today, healthcare professionals are given opportunities to serve in in the name of Jesus, demonstrating His love, compassion, and lordship.  Healthcare workers can often access regions that are closed to traditional missionaries.  This breakout session will demonstrate how God has used medicine in one closed nation to open doors to the spread of the gospel.

Medical Subspecialist on Missions: Leveraging Expertise for Global Gospel Impact

Medical subspecialists possess unique skills that can open doors to some of the world’s most influential healthcare settings. This breakout will explore why specialists are uniquely positioned to engage in healthcare missions, the strategic roles they can fill in global health initiatives, and how their advanced training can strengthen healthcare systems, mentor national colleagues, and create opportunities for gospel witness. Whether serving short-term, long-term, or through ongoing partnerships, subspecialists can use their expertise to meet critical needs while advancing access to the gospel among unreached peoples. Join us to discover practical pathways for turning specialized medical training into kingdom impact around the world.

Serving Communities Affected by Substance Use Disorder

This session presents findings from a recent qualitative study in the Journal of Addiction Medicine that explored the experiences of diverse AANHPI patients with SUD treatment services in a large urban setting, particularly examining the influence of cultural and social norms.

Just as the stereotypes surrounding the Samaritans stigmatized a whole people group, societal myths still keep stigmatized communities from compassionate, evidence-based care. Participants will leave equipped to better offer both the physical water and the living water through culturally responsive addiction treatment joined to the dignity that Christ extends to those the culture has written off.
