It will emphasize that caring for your emotional and spiritual well-being is an important part of faithful service, as are healthy interpersonal relationships. During this critical window, nutrition, nurturing relationships, disease prevention, and early stimulation profoundly shape lifelong physical health, cognitive development, emotional well-being, and future flourishingThis workshop explores how health workers can partner with families, churches, communities, and local health systems to promote maternal and child health through community-owned, participatory approaches. Drawing on current global health evidence and practical field experience from a community-based First 1000 Days initiative, participants will examine strategies that integrate preventive health, community empowerment, and holistic ministry. Practical examples from diverse international settings will illustrate how local communities can become active participants in nurturing healthier children, stronger families, and vibrant communities.
